Short Report 2020-01-18
We have just finished planting 400 sapling pine trees around the campus. In five to seven years they will start to provide firewood for the school’s kitchen. The rains have been good this year, so we expect most of the saplings to survive.
Our preparations are underway for the start of term, which should be starting on the first Monday of February. We are keeping a close watch on the news as the Constitutional Court is due to make a judgement concerning last year’s presidential elections; there could be some civil unrest. The ruling may come during the week when our term starts, so we may have to defer opening until the following week. This year we expect to have around fifty students studying with us.
Evangelism is progressing, personally I have been conducting Bible studies with three people. I hope and pray that they respond to the gospel of Christ.
A big thank you to all of you who support this work. Please, we do still have a great need for more monthly supporters. Can you help? Maybe you can recommend this work to someone who might be in a position to help? The Lord is doing great things here in Malawi.
